The Folkloric Museum reflects the uses and traditions of Serifos, so it counts on native customs, domestic utensils, porcelain adorns, and a large collection of the island’s minerals. It is useful to make the comment on Chora lodging facilities at this point, as it is good to keep in mind that there are some facilities available in order to visit these sites.
For example, when it comes to public transportation, there are frequent bus services going down from Chora to the harbour and vice versa, as well as other services like cruises and tours organised by travel agencies that include Chora on their schedules. This makes it easier to arrive, and also allows to enjoy some other areas of this beautiful location.

The combination of visiting these places, the Folkloric, as well as the Archaelogical Museum, gives visitors the chance of getting in touch with the tradition and the history of Serifos.
Travellers can also experience the beauty and the vibe of villages and other attractive places. In addition, the easy access to Chora and the transportation facilities it offers in order to reach other places of the island once the stroll is over, are good aids for including Chora and its museums on the excursion schedule of Serifos island. |
