Regarding its location, it is on the southern coast of Serifos, next to Koutalas beach, forming opposite ends of a bay with horse-shoe shape. In fact, Ganema beach is actually part of Koutalas bay, as well as Vagia beach. After reaching Koutalas by car, it is necessary to walk around 25 minutes to find Ganema beach as it is at 1 km distance. On the other hand, the distance from Livadi, the port of the island, is about 7 km.
Unlike other beaches, Vagia and Ganema have some taverns where to have a drink without getting out from the beach area. These are usually taken advantage of by the yacht crews, as they anchor up nearby.
Koutalas is a popular beach and, although it remains a somehow unspoiled and non-crowded, it has no umbrellas or sun-beds, so you’d rather take some with you.
