Reviews about Santorini, Cyclades, Greece |
Megalochori was the quietest village we visited in Santorini. We had a very enjoyable time there and we tried tomato balls in a local tavern. I didn't like them but my husband found them tasty. Food is definetly not cheap in Santorini, but normaly tasty. Only one tavern served chicken that was gone... More >
The whole Island is rich with history, I felt it deeply. I loved Fira, it was so beautiful. Walking around there at night and shopping, all the stores was great. Oia was certainly more traditional than Fira and the sunset was also better. It is a shame that I didn't know about Santorini until a... More >
I loved my days in Santorini! Except for the busy village of Fira, all the rest were amazing. Yes, the sunset of Oia is the best in the world, have no doubt about it. As a New Yorker, I don't remember watching the sunset very frequently. After all, the sun is blocked by the skyscrapers but... More >
We just came back from a wonderful forthnight in Santorini, where we held our wedding ceremony! John and I had visited Santorini again about 3 years ago and we were amazed by the beauty of this place. It was even better that we had expected, so our decision to get married under the bright sunset... More >

I had been to Santorini as a college student for the graduation excursion about 10 years ago and last summer I was there for my honeymoon (I guess, the nicest memories of my life are from Santorini!).
I love this island, I only wish I was not hundreds of miles away and could visit it more often... More >
Santorini is a natural wonder. There is nothing like this anywhere in the world. The way villages are built right on the edge of the caldera is fantastic! Fira is the crowdest of the villages but it also has most amenities, including most bars. Oia is the picturesque village to enjoy the sunset... More >
Visiting the Mediterranean Islands is always an enchanting experience and Santorini has been our desirable place to go for a long time. From Athens airport, the flight is a little over 40 mins. Whereas, I've heard that if you go by boat, it will take about 8 hrs to reach the island. The island is... More >
The town of Oia on Santorini is fantastic. It is somewhat less touristy then Fira. A lot of people go to Oia to watch the famous sunset, which is a must see. In terms of beaches, I prefered Kamari compared to Perissa as it has more shops, restaurants, bars etc. Perissa I think does have cheaper... More >
This was my first time for me in Santorini. A little bit expensive, but in general good. The sunset is truly romantic, next time I will come back with a boyfriend. I didn't see much of the island, only Fira and Oia. I really felt sorry for the donkeys, they seemed so tired. I understand that this... More >

Santorini is a magnificant island. It is very clean, beautiful and peaceful. We stayed in the village of Oia at the northern tip of the island. It is smaller and quieter than other areas of Santorini. Yet, the island is so small that you can easily visit other areas. We drove from one end to the... More >
