As all evidents show, a building that is highly connected to the public life in ancient Kythnos came to light last summer after the archaeological research of Alexandros Mazarakis, professor of Archaeology in the University of Thessaly.

After the underwater archaeological research in the ancient port of Kythnos this summer, the excavations did not stop but they have been transferred to the mainland of Kythnos.

The local authorities are asking the government to improve the facilities for therapeutic tourism on Kythnos island, so that the area of Loutra will be turned into a new therapeutic destination.
