Koufonisia: Chora Koufonisia

Koufonisia Villages: Chora on Koufonisia Chora Koufonisia: Koufonisia Town or Chora, a small fishing village, is the starting point for most tourists to Koufonisia. It is the port of the island and is a prime example of traditional Cycladic architecture. Most of the island’s services including hotels, tavernas, stores, rooms on rent etc. are located in this village. The main pathway along the road by the sea is where all the action is. Be it tiny shops selling local merchandise or cozy tavernas, its all here.

The beach called Megali Ammos at the port is a great place for a cool swim, being nice, clean and not very crowded.
