There are two villages on Iraklia: Agios Georgios, which also serves as the main port of the island, and Panagia, which is a mountainous village with fewer inhabitants. Both settlements though have managed to maintain its traditional architectural style.

Location: On the northern side of Iraklia
Description: Agios Georgios is the main port of Iraklia and its largest settlement. A few tourist amenities and rooms to rent are found there.

Location: On the southern side of Iraklia
Description: Panagia is a small village with few inhabitants. It distinguishes for its traditional architecture and the lovely chapels around it.
