Many religious and cultural events take place on Andros every year.
During the religious celebration of the name of a saint,
a feast is organized in the village where the church
of the celebrated saint is located.
In the evening, a Holy Mass is conducted, followed
by a procession around the village.
After the litany, people are gathered in the square, where a big festival takes place with local |

There are also many other festivals in summer, such as of Saint Marine on July 17th.
Apart from religious feasts, Andros island also hosts a number of cultural events that usually take place in summer.
The International Choral Festival is held in June with bands from all over the world.
Ploes is also a famous event held by Petros and Marika Kidonieos Foundation. |
