Museum of Natural History in Meteora

Information about the Museum of Natural History and Mushroom Museum in Meteora, Greece: The Museum of Meteora Natural History and Mushroom Museum opened November 2014 and it is located at a distance of 5 min walk from the center of Kalambaka town. The museum aims to present the natural history and importance of the region of Meteora as well as various aspects of the world natural history.

The museum hosts an interesting selection of birds that live mostly in Greece and Europe, as well as in other regions of the world. Some of these birds are under protection, or they have totally vanished. A similar collection of mammals is presented in the museum, as well as a rich collection of mushroom of various size and origin. The museum has a special room for art exhibitions and workshops.
