The Ski Centre of Pertouli in Meteora: The Ski Centre of Pertouli is placed between Koziakas and Loupata mountains, in the prefecture of Trikala, at an altitude of 1350m. It is next to the village of Pertouli, which can be taken into account for strolling around its picturesque alleys, among stone-built traditional houses.
The Ski Centre operates from 1985 and has 3 tracks of different levels of difficulty: a red track of 1,500m length, a blue track of 400m length and a green training track of just 80m length. It also has three lifts: a ski lift, a drugging and a baby lift. The ski centre also counts on two chalets, one at its base and the other on the pick, which offers imposing views to the surrounding mountainsides. In addition, there is a health centre.
Those who do not have their own equipment can rent some at the available shops. This centre also organizes hiking excursions, for example, from Elati to Vlacha, Korpou, Ksiligefiro, Neraidochori and many other nearby villages. These picturesque routes can also be covered by car.
In fact, the area that surrounds the centre constitutes one of the most beautiful Greek mountainous sceneries of fir trees, appropriate not only for hiking but for mountain climbing and mountain biking as well. Many accommodation options surround the ski centre of Pertouli and some of them are traditional stone-built mansions with a fireplace and outdoor living rooms.
The ski centre of Pertouli is very popular. It is located just 45 minutes far from Trikala town and 5 hours from Athens by car. The road is easy and safe. The ski centre is run by the Trikala Prefecture Development Company in cooperation with the Municipality of Aithikon.
