1st Photography Festival

A Photography Festival is organized in Mesolongi from June 1st-10th with the participation of nine photography clubs from all over Greece. This festival, that is organized for the first time by the Photo Club of Mesolongi, aims to get photographers and public into contact and to present the historical town of Mesolongi with the Neoclassical buildings, the natural beauty and the rich cultural tradition.

The 1st Photography Festival of Mesolongi includes exhibitions of photos and cameras, discussions, lectures and musical concerts. The festival is dedicated to Yannis Behrakis, a Greek photojournalist and Chief Photographer of Reuters. The photo exhibitions will take place in Trikoupeio Cultural Centre of Mesolongi, Moschandreou Art Gallery, the Museum of Vaso Katraki, the Technological Institute of Mesolongi and in other cultural venues.

The entrance to the exhibitions will be free. The dates of the festival coincides with the panigiri of Ai-Simios (Saint Symeon), one the most important religious festivals in Mesolongi.
