Candidate for European Cultural Capital 2021

The town of Delphi has already submitted its candidature for the Cultural Capital of Europe 2021, as announced yesterday by the major of Delphi, Thanassis Panagiotopoulos. With the slogan Metamorfosis and holding a rich cultural and historical path, Delphi is visioning to make an opening to the world and narrate them the impressive historical background of their homeland.

"Delphi, at the consciousness of the Greek and European citizen, is a milestone that symbolizes the deepest and most important routes of modern western Civilization", as mentioned by the major of Delphi at the event of the candidature announcement to the press. Fulfilling all the prerequisites for submitting the candidature was a demanding procedure, however the motivation is strong. This project has the support of all local authorities and many Greek and European noblemen.
