Delphi Festival 2024

Jun 26, 2024 — Aug 12, 2024 • Category: Events

For the sixth year in a row, the festival of Delphi (also known as To Lalon Idor, meaning “the water that talks”) will be a highly anticipated set of events for the residents of Sterea, taking place in various spots from the 26th of June until the 12th of August!

This year’s festival is no exception from past renditions, with its forefront invitees being renowned Greek artists, including famous entekhno singer Giannis Kotsiras, well-known performer Kostas Makedonas, and the legendary Eleni Vitali, paired with her son Nikos Xydis and the band TZOUM! Also, the stunning, timeless voice of Savina Yiannatou, alongside pianist Spiros Manesis, will surely hold the audience in awe!

Delphi Festival 2024 will also be a host to newer on-stage performers, like the up-and-coming Giannis Dionysiou, as well as singer Xristiana Galiatsou and Mirto Vasileiou! Furthermore, there will be a couple of shows from orchestral-like groups, with the Athens Philarmonic Orchestra performing pieces from Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Nikos Skalkotas, while a large group of students from the Amfissa Music School will showcase their talents and musicianship!

The festival of Delphi “To Lalon Idor” will again be under the guidance of composer and art director Dimitris Maramis, and its performances will not only be held in Delphi, with various concerts in select spots around the prefecture of Phocis, such as Amfissa, Itea, Galaksidi, Eratini, Lidoriki, and Krokilio! Throughout the past few years, some more known artists that have contributed to the growth of “To Lalon Idor” have been singer-songwriter Nikos Portokaloglou, singer Marios Fragkoulis, folk and entekhno sensation Giannis Haroulis, performer Eleni Tsaligopoulou, the electric rock’n’roll/swing group The Swingin’ Cats, and Epirotic music legend, clarinet player Petraloukas Halkias!
