Distomo beach Arachova: The beach of Distomo is also known as Aspra Spitia (White Houses). Distomo is an organized beach with umbrellas, changing cabins and showers along its 4km of white and grey pebbled shore. It starts with a beautiful beach and the picturesque port of Agios Nikolaos and extends to the main tourist beach of Aspra Spitia, near the village of Antikyra.
The geographical location of Distomo beach, on the coast of the Corinthian gulf, is related to important places like Arachova, Delphi and Livadia. Taking these facts into account, the tourist will find good accommodation options in the surrounding areas, which obviously take advantage of their closeness to this beach. Although they are placed at a distance that is very hard to cover on foot, around 9 km, it does not involve a significant trip. The views are quite picturesque, which along with a certain sense of privacy that is typical from these tranquil areas makes the ideal environment for those who want t rest their minds from the hassles of the rest of the year.
The beach of Distomo has the particularity of being divided by the small river Erkyna which provides a very nice touch to the village, as the varied terrains formed by different types of slopes make contrast to the smoothness of the Corinthian sea, creating an interesting landscape.
