Poetry Days 2008

Jun 20, 2008 — Jun 22, 2008 • Category: Events
For the second year a group of active, hospitable and art-lovers young people from Skopelos are inviting poets from Greece and abroad to celebrate together the Summer Solstice 2008-Poetry Days on Skopelos, from 20 to 22 June. Poets from Greece, Russia, Bulgaria, Rumania, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel and Palestine will discuss, know each other and read their poems on an event, where the civil non-profit company Diadromes intends to become an institution of cultural intervention on North Sporades, Greece.
This year's festival is dedicated to the memory of the Hellenist and translator Irina Kovaliova and is done in cooperation with Prague Writer's Festival and Poetry on the Road International Literatur Festival Bremen. Worth mentioning is the Greek writer Dimitris Nollas, who inspires tirelessly the whole effort.
