Skiathos for how many days? One to Three days

Skiathos is one of the most popular Greek islands. It belongs to Sporades complex and it is famous for its wonderful, sandy beaches and the vivid nightlife.

You will find below our excursions suggestions for 1, 2 or 3 days on the island of Skiathos Greece. For a general idea, you can view the things to see and things to do in Skiathos.

One day in Skiathos: Skiathos and Koukounaries

The first day on Skiathos, you walk around the narrow paths in Skiathos Town. This is a traditional village with a busy port and nice cafeterias at the waterfront. There are also nice cafeterias on top of the village, with great views of the town, the sea, and Bourtzi islet, right at the entrance of the port. On your way, you will find the House of Alexandros Papadiamantis, a famous Greek writer who lived in Skiathos in the 19th century and whose house has been turned into a museum today.

Later on, you can take the bus or drive from Skiathos Town to Koukounaries, on the eastern side of the island. This is the most famous beach on Skiathos: well-organized with sunbeds, umbrellas and watersports clubs, with soft sand and surrounded by pine trees, Koukounaries is a wonderful beach. Although it gets very crowded, it is still large enough for all the visitors. The pine forest around the beach and the close lake provide a nice path for trekking.

About 500 meters from Koukounaries, there is another popular beach, Banana, equally organized and beautiful. A small cove of Banana beach is officially nudist.

Two days in Skiathos: Lalaria and Ftelia

1st day as described above.
On the second day, you take the boat from Skiathos Town and visit Lalaria, a wonderful location on the north of the island, inaccessible by car. In this lovely ferry ride, you will see the Red Cave, Kaminaki, the Cave of Fonissa, the wonderful Banana Beach under an impressive rock and the ruined Castle of Skiathos.

When you come back, you can either walk to Megali Ammos beach or go to Ftelia, about 2 km from the town. They are both beautiful and well-organized, with many tourist facilities.

Three days in Skiathos: Achladies and Agia Paraskevi

1st and 2nd days as described above.
Spend the third day relaxing on the beaches, too. For the third day, we suggest you visit Achladies and Agia Paraskevi, on the southern side of the island. These lively coasts have clean water, beach bars, and watersports clubs to keep you busy in a fun summer day.
