General information

Kechria Beach lies on the northern part of Skiathos, about 11 km northwest of Skiathos Town. It boasts fine sand adorned with tiny pebbles and crystal turquoise waters ideal for a refreshing swim. The surrounding area is dominated by lush greenery and verdant mountains, which tower over the sea and create a majestic natural ambiance.

The beach is well-organized, featuring umbrellas and chaise lounges, most of which are situated atop a grassy patch just behind the shore. This spot belongs to a charming stone-built restaurant, which offers authentic Greek flavors and tasty drinks with a scenic view of the beach. There is also a spring high above the beach with running water for showering. The wider region hosts some accommodations, while just south of Kechria, visitors will find the equally wonderful Ligaries Beach.

The road to the beach is somewhat challenging to traverse, especially for smaller vehicles, with some bumps and turns along the way. However, the views along the way are truly astonishing, with the road taking you through enchanting forests and beautiful landscapes. Alternatively, you can reach the beach by boat or water taxi.
