General information

Elia Beach is a wonderful bay on the western coast of Skiathos. It is fairly secluded and thus boasts a serene atmosphere, amongst a breathtaking landscape of lush green hills and imposing rock formations. The waters of the beach are crystal clear and feature an intoxicating azure hue, perfectly contrasted with the coast’s golden sand.

The beautiful waters make this the ideal swimming destination. It should be noted, however, that the area is not well protected from winds, so the sea can get slightly choppy at times. The beach itself has umbrellas and parasols that are available to rent. A charming restaurant lies on the shore, offering some nice shady spots to rest under and enjoy the views of the glistening sea, along with a snack or drink.

Elia Beach is accessible through a winding road traversable by most vehicles and will lead you through some scenic routes amidst a wonderful forest. If you are taking the bus, you can get off at the stop in Mandraki Village, and from there follow an almost 2 km-long dirt track to the idyllic beach. Alternatively, you can take a boat or water taxi that departs from the main port of Skiathos Town. While in the area, you can venture out to Elia’s neighboring beaches, Agistros and Mandraki.
