General information

Kounoupitsa is the closest village to Dapia, built after the Greek War of Independence. It is a residential district with cubic houses, pastel color cottages, dovecotes, cobblestone gardens, and fuchsia bougainvilleas adding a brilliant touch of color to the already lovely area.

The town hall of Spetses, which constitutes a superb example of the traditional local architecture, and its fine cobblestone garden, are really worthy of a visit. The coastal road offers a magnificent view over the coasts of the Peloponnese. A bronze statue of Laskarina Bouboulina, the female hero of the Greek War of Independence, is standing at the corner of the street.

Moreover, the village's beach has fine pebbles and azure waters and is ideal for swimming. Several restaurants and cafes are situated along it, offering food and beverages to the bathers.
