• Category: News
A new work, the construction of a floating buoy, will give to cruise ships the chance to approach the picturesque island of Hydra in the Saronic Gulf. The work was announced by the local authorities and its completion has already been arranged with the construction company. As the authorities stressed out, this will be a great chance for hundreds of tourists to visit the island and get to know its authentic character.Until now, the cruise ships could not approach the small port of Hydra Town, which is why the authorities decided to build a floating buoy of 430 m diameter and 2,20 m tall at the small island of Agios Nikolaos, close to Hydra, where cruise ships will be able to anchor.
