Hydra Diving

Hydra diving

The rocky and clean coastline of Hydra is very rich in underwater caves and reefs, providing nice diving sites around the island. The few Hydra diving centers that have their base at the main town offer open water courses, rental equipment as well as boat and night diving trips to close islands. Many old wrecks are also found around Hydra, such as the famous Dokos shipwreck. Discovered in 1975, the wreck of Dokos, the oldest known underwater shipwreck discovery, probably dated from as early as 2200 B.C. and carried a lot of ceramics. Upon proper guidance, Hydra diving can also be practiced at night.

Here are some diving centers in Hydra. Each diving center is presented with detailed text, photos and point on Google map. If you have experience with any of these diving centers, feel free to write your review. All request forms are sent directly to the diving center manager so that you can book a diving course with them or ask any question.
