General information

The settlement of Vlichos (or Vlychos) is a small village near the center of Hydra! Famous for its mesmerizing views of the Aegean Sea and its sunset, Vlichos is built by the coast, just four meters over sea level, while the 2011 population census showed that there are no more than 19 citizens there!

Vlichos has a distinct style, hosting a handful of characteristic, whitewashed houses, as well as some rooms for rent. It is surrounded by crystalline waters and hosts the pebbly shore of Vlichos Beach! Moreover, visitors will spot a couple of beachfront taverns, the gorgeous Kamaroti stone-built bridge, a fantastic outdoor amphitheater, and the seaside Orthodox chapel of Saint Charalambos!

The settlement can be visited via water taxi or by a brief walk from Kaminia or Hydra Town.
