Agistri holiday with Greeka.com: Agistri is a small island of the Saronic Gulf. It is an ideal destination for peaceful and relaxing holidays or just for a short break from the city noise.
Agistri in a few words...
The pine-covered Greek island of Agistri is probably the least known Saronic island. That makes it ideal for those who seek relaxation and peace. It is the perfect place for families with children or couples looking for a romantic time to enjoy the sandy beaches and the crystal shallow blue waters, or go for a walk in the woods.
Agistri island offers a series of interesting beaches and villages to visit, such as Chalikiada, Dragonera, Xekofti, Megalochori, Skala, Marisa, Maghisa, Bariama beach and many others, where sun umbrellas, deck chairs and sun beds are provided.
The island is quite easy to reach directly from Piraeus Port by ferry. There are excellent lodging facilities, such as warm family-run hotels where tourists can taste traditional Greek dishes and enjoy the typical Greek cleanliness and hospitality, or the comfortable apartments with 24 hour room service. The island counts on cafes, restaurants and pastry shops, as well as moped and bicycle hire, plus all what tourists may need during their stay.
In the evening, visitors enjoy popular and traditional music as they have a drink at the hotel's bar, or in any of the good establishments on Agistri. Being so close to Athens by boat, Agistri is much warmer than most tourists expect, even in Spring and Autumn, the so called low season months.
