Painting exhibition in Historical Museum

View of beaches, roofs of Neoclassical buildings and cafeneions, the Cathedral, boats moored in Avlaki, the picturesque fishing village of Perdika, humble chapels in Paleochora and the impressive temple of Athena Aphaia at sunset time. These are the themes of the 40 work pieces of the artist Gefso Papadaki that will be displayed from July 4th to 14th, 2012, in the Historical and Folklore Museum of Aegina.

The exhibition is entitled Excursion to Aegina and the artist uses the various tones of blue, white, dark red and ochre to trace precious moments from her trips in the island of Aegina. Works of the artist have been used in book covers, while others are hosted in the National Gallery of Beijing, the collection Olympic Fine Arts 2008 in Beijing, in municipal collections around Greece and in private collections in Greece, Belgium, France, Austria and Luxembourg. This is her 14th personal exhibition.
