General information

Rio beach in Patra Peloponnese: Rio is a village located 8 km east of Patra Town. This is a place busy both in summer and winter, as the university of Patra is closeby and the lovely beach offers a lot of tourist facilities.

Whoever doesn't like the noise in the centre of Patras can choose an accommodation in Rio. The beach is clean and there are plenty of beach bars that stay open all night and play loud music. This village is mostly famous for the bridge of Rio-Antirrio, the second largest cable bridge in the world that connects Peloponnese to Sterea.
