Olympia Map

Olympia is one of the most important ancient towns in Peloponnese, known as the birthplace of Olympic Games. It is located in Ilia prefecture and exists from the prehistoric times. Surrounded by a magical green scenery, Olympia is one of the most famous archaeological sites in Greece that attracts thousands of visitors around the world for its countless remains of a past era.

Ancient Olympia draws global attention for the Olympic Flame ceremony which is held there every four years. The modern town of Olympia counts on many facilities, taverns and cafes, actually very close to the ancient site.
