Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People

From 03/12 until 10/12, the 19th Olympia International Film Festival for Children and Young People will be held in different cities of Ileia, such as Pyrgos, Gastouni and Amaliada. More than 120 movies of various genres will be presented in this festival and both children and adults will have the opportunity to enjoy feature or short fiction films, short animation clips and documentaries.
The concept of these works is to promote democracy and freedom in the contemporary world, therefore all film topics are based on the international values of UNESCO and UNICEF; love for all people, nature protection and respecting life are praised, while violence and racism are criticized and rejected.
The aim of Olympia International Film Festival and its participants is to urge children to focus on their creative thinking, to avoid prejudices and to respect people of different cultures.
Free entrance into the festival is granted and during the days of the Film Event, some events and cinema activities will also be available (special screenings, tributes, animation or film workshops, performances, etc).
