Pera Kakavos beach Monemvasia: Combining ancient sites of the past and picturesque landscapes Monemvasia is just the perfect place to visit. One of the most beautiful attractions of this region is the close beach of Pera Kakavos, at 100 meters from the port. It is an excellent place to swim for its crystal and turquoise waters, and an amazing landscape which provides unique moments of relaxation, looking away at the horizon and hearing the waves lap crashing against the rocks.

In connection with the sea every possible recreation is available at this beach. Wind surf is also available, this last couple of years while another interesting thing to do is fishing. Having a comforting walk is always a good option to admire the views. At night the sky is full of thousands of stars, creating a magnificent sight.

The settlement has different places to satisfy all the tourist needs. There is a mini market to buy food and other daily supplies. At the seafront there are restaurants offering traditional delicacies while there are also taverns and bars to go out at night.

There are several accommodations options in close distance to the port. In the village there is a bank, a travel agency and a post office. There are also shops to buy ravishing souvenirs, such as ceramics, almond toffees, medieval souvenirs, jewels and much more. Monemvasia has really good agricultural products, such as citrus fruit and olive oil, while you shouldn't miss the chance of tasting the traditional almond sweets.
