General information

Agia Varvara beach Gythio: This is a quiet and pebbled beach. You shall not find tourist amenities there nor water sports facilities. Agia Varvara is usually calm and you will most possible find locals there rather than tourists. You can go there by car or motorbike, since there is no bus to this beach. An old, stone-built church dedicated to Agia Varvara stands right on the coast side. It dates from the 12th century and does not work any more. However, it stands there as a monument of the Byzantine times.
