Strong earthquake hits Greece

At 15:25 yesterday afternoon an earthquake of 6.5 Richter scale was noted, focused 205 km west of Athens, at the area of Andravida. The quake had a relatively small focal depth (10 km) but a quite long duration.
The earthquake was sensed on a very big region, particularly in the city of Patras and the surroundings. Two people lost their lives because of the natural phenomenon: a 55 year old who was buried under by the collapse of an old roof and an 80 year old who was injured but had a heart failure during her transportation to the hospital.
A total of 90 injured persons were transferred to the hospital, of which 6 stayed and the rest left after the first aid was given.
