Sailor died on cruise accident

• Category: News

The Louis Cruise Lines Company expressed their regret for the death of an Indonesian sailor aboard the Orient Queen, which was on tour around the Greek Islands. In a mysterious incident, the sailor was knocked down by a cable as the ship was coming to dock into the port of Myconos. Another sailor was also injured. The circumstance leading to this mishap is under investigation by the local authorities.
It is surmised that high wind speeds could have caused the cable to snap and therefore strike both sailors with tremendous force. However, the company said that the sailors were wearing protective clothing and helmets. Note that this accident occurred a month after the sinkage of the Sea Diamond off the coast of Santorini, a ship which was also owned by the Louis Cruise Lines.
