New ferry itineraries to remote islands

The protests of the inhabitants and the visitors to remote Aegean islands have shaken the Minister of Marine Merchantise, who announced more frequent ferry itineraries. In particular: - twice a week, a ferry will connect the port of Lavrion, Attica, to the islands of Chios, Psara, Agios Efstratios, Lemnos and the town of Kavala, Northern Greece - twice a week, a ferry will connect the islands of Ikaria, Samos, Chios, Lesvos and Lemnos to the port of Thessaloniki, Macedonia - twice a week, a ferry will connect the islands of Ikaria, Samos, Chios, Lesvos and Lemnos to the town of Kavala, Northern Greece. This is great news for the permanent residents of the island, as it makes it easier for them to move in different islands and towns of Greece. These schedules are also expected to give a new impulse to tourism, as visitors can get around the Greek islands quicker and more comfortable.
