Most world famous figures are Greeks

Aristotle is the most famous personality of human history, according to a recent study of the American University MIT. In fact, 6 of the 10 winners in the world's range of popularity are Greeks, mostly personalities from the field of philosophy. Working on a project called Pantheon, the university studied and analyzed data from 4,000 BC until 2010 and eventually formed a list with the most famous people of the past 6,000 years.

In order to form the list with the results, the MIT evaluated the cultural offer of these historical figures to world culture, paying special attention to data that overcame the geographical and language barriers. According to MIT, the most world famous personalities of the last 6,000 years are:

Aristotle
Plato
Jesus Christ
Socrates
Alexander the Great
Leonardo Da Vinci
Confucius
Julius Caesar
Homer
Pythagoras
