Astronomy Park in Grevena

The contract for the creation of the Educational Astronomy Park in Mount Orliakas, Grevena, was recently signed by the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and the Municipality of Grevena. This Educational Astronomy Park will be constructed at an altitude of 1,450 meters including an educational centre with telescopes and solar observatory, an exhibition area, a spacious room for conferences and seminars, and a special room where astronomers can store their equipment. The park will be used for educational needs and will host international research programs. It is estimated that the creation of the Educational Astronomy Park will be completed in 2,5 years.
