Acropolis in Monopoly game

• Category: News

The new global collective edition of Monopoly will have something of Greece, too...Most possible is a photomap of Acropolis to be printed on the game’s board or maybe a tetradrachm with a depiction of Athena on it. The Central Archaeological Council gave permission to the Hasbro Inc. company for the use of those images. As for the players, they will be able to buy cities and not monuments. Despite this, some members of the council were deliberate, since it is still a buying and selling game. The choice of Athens city is not officially known.
The results of the online public vote about the cities included in the collective edition will be announced by August. However, the company has asked for permission for the use of the photos, a fact showing that Athens will be one of the 22 cities to take part in the board game.
