Preveza Jazz Festival 2024

Since its inception in 2003, the Preveza Jazz Festival has been a staple of the town’s summer! Focusing on fresh, thought-provoking sounds, as well as free-form composition and instrumentation, the 22nd Preveza Jazz Festival will take place from the 30th of May to the 2nd of June, 2024!

The 2024 rendition of the Preveza Jazz Festival will house an array of experienced and new artists throughout four days! Thursday’s show will include the refreshing neo-jazz mix of up-and-comers Dock In Absolute and a band led by a veteran jazz trombone player, the Nils Landgren Funk Unit, whereas Friday will be the concert day for the genre-bending Polish trio Product May Contain and the AJS Quartet, an Albanian group influenced by the sounds of the Balkans!

Saturday’s visitors will have a chance to see the bold German punk-jazz outfit Botticceli Baby and one of Greece’s top singers and on-stage performers, Maria Farantouri, while Sunday will end with a DJ party from Shantel and Bucovina Club Soundsystem and the quartet of Jazz Express, expressing a tribute to vocal jazz giants Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald!

This celebration of jazz in Preveza has hosted numerous known names in the past! More specifically, previous visitors of the Preveza Jazz Festival have seen Stephan Micus’ blend of folk and jazz from up close, as well as the expressive Portuguese singer Maria Zoao, award-winning soul and jazz-pop singer Ben Chawes, Cuban jazz pianist Ramón Valle, and Greek talents, such as singer Idra Kayne, soul performer Sugahspank, and folk-jazz group Gadjo Dilo!
