Towards ferry connection Thessaloniki-Izmir

The ferry company Hellenic Seaways is ready to start this summer a maritime connection from Thessaloniki to Mytilene in Lesvos island and Izmir, Turkey. The route can start when all technical details between the two countries (Greece and Turkey) are cleared on this issue.

The discussions for the maritime connection between these three destinations have started two years ago with the initiative of Hellenic Seaways and the support of the Hellenic Ministry of Shipping and Maritime Affairs, the Turkish Chamber of Shipping, the Region of Northern Aegean and other institutions.

This maritime connection from Thessaloniki to Izmir via Mytilene will take place in the form of a regular cruise and will offer high quality cruise services to the passengers. In addition, the ferry will offer commercial transfers, enforcing the national tourist product in both countries.
