New Beach Promenade opened to public

After two and half years of reconstruction, the New Beach Promenade of Thessaloniki opened to the public. Although the official inauguration will take place in spring, the residents of Thessaloniki overwhelmed this new promenade on December 1st, when it was handed to the public.

The new parks, the Garden of Sculptures, the Garden of the Mediterranean, the Garden of Fokas, the Garden of Seasons, the Garden of Sand, the Garden of the Afternoon Sun and the Garden of Alexandros impressed visitors.

The Beach Promenade of Thessaloniki is now unified and people can cover on foot the 5 km from the region of Poseidonio to the port. The opening of the New Beach Promenade was combined with the pilot pedestrianization of Nikis Avenue the first Sunday of every month.
