Alternative & Renewable Energy Quest

“Alternative & Renewable Energy Quest”, the AREQ Symposium organized by IEREK and AUTH – Aristotle University of Thessaloniki –, seeks to promote and disseminate knowledge of the integration of technologies of renewable and alternative energy in physical design. The conference aims to showcase to the international community the groundbreaking results of the work in the fields of renewable energy research, development, application or design.
The conference is scheduled to be held in Thessaloniki, Greece from the 5th until the 6th of September 2017. The conference proceedings will be published by “Springer”.
IEREK is known to make its conferences as interesting and entertaining as they are educational. For instance, during one of IEREK’s previous conferences -the Conservation of Architectural Heritage that was held in Luxor and Aswan from the 23rd to the 27th of November 2015 -all the participants were given several tours in Egypt’s breathtaking historical sites. In every city across the world, IEREK aims to help participants engage with and truly experience new cultures. “Knowledge is not something you acquire solely out of books, journals, and online sources; the ability to become knowledgeable through observation and pure appreciation of everything around you in this world is a gift that should not be taken for granted. IEREK hopes to offer people that kind of knowledge, a kind that cannot be learned nor taught, but observed,” stated IEREK CEO, Mourad Amer.
