16th International Documentary Festival

The 16th Thessaloniki Documentary Festival will take place from March 14th to 23rd, 2014. This year, honoring the memory of late filmmaker Peter Wintonick, the festival has renamed its Audience Award for best foreign feature documentary The Peter Wintonick Award.

A tribute will take place presenting some of the award-winning director's most representative work, and an original edition on his work will be available in both Greek and English. The Canadian filmmaker was a great supporter and friend of the Thessaloniki Documentary Festival.

Moreover, a tribute to the renowned French director Nicolas Philbert will take place, with the filmmaker himself attending the festival to present and discuss his work with the audience.

This international documentary festival is affiliated with the Thessaloniki International Film Festival, and it takes place every year in March since 1999. Its main program focuses on documentaries that explore the social and cultural developments of the world, while the parallel events program includes exhibitions, discussions, master classes, concerts, and parties.
