12th Documentary Festival

The Documentary Festival of Thessaloniki starts today and will last till March 21st. This festival is held for the 12th year on the row in Thessaloniki, Northern Greece, and it is considered as one of the most important documentary festivals in the world. Movies will be presented in Olympion Cinema and the schedule will include Greek and foreign movies, all in the spirit of this year's categories (Views of the World, Portraits, Short Narrations and Music). The festival will also include a tribute to the Polish film maker Krzysztof Kieslowski (1941-96) and the Dutch documentary filmmaker Joris Ivens (1898-1989).
