General Description
Dion, a place dedicated to the worship of the Olympian Zeus, is located near the home of the twelve Olympian Gods, the Mount Olympus.
In antiquity, Dion served as the religious center of the Ancient Macedonians and was renowned all over Greece. Before starting his fabled expedition in Asia, Alexander the Great visited the Dion to offer rich sacrifices for the Gods to bless him. Our tour begins with a visit to the archaeological site and the museum of Dion. Then, we head up to the traditional picturesque village of Litochoro where we will have plenty of time to explore it and walk around the green valley of Enipeas. After exploring the lower region of the mountain slopes, we will take the road back to your hotels.
