Arnea Kouzina Traditional 2014

After its great success last year, Arnea KOUZINA Traditional 2014 will take place again in the beautiful village of Arnea, Halkidiki, lasting for three whole days, from October 3rd, 2014 to October 5th, 2014. This 3-day, cultural and culinary event is actually part of the promo tour of Mount Athos Area Kouzina 2015, a big festival in Athos, Halkidiki that will be held for an entire month (from May 15th to June 15th, 2015).
The culinary event Arnea KOUZINA Traditional 2014 offers a rich programme with presentations, activities, classes and entertainment for both adults and children.
Residents, farmers and producers of the region will present local products, and traditional recipes from the region of Halkidiki. Visitors will have the chance to taste a wide a variety of delicious, traditional dishes so as to have a first-hand experience of the tasty local cuisine. They will be informed about the agricultural production practices that the local producers follow, and get to know many of the high-quality products of Halkidiki, like the traditional feta cheese and the popular local honey. Also, visitors can take part in many cooking classes that will guide them through the traditional cooking methods and recipes of the region. Or, they can attend the presentation of regional wines and experience some wine tasting.
Arnea KOUZINA Traditional 2014 also has many activities for children. They can play traditional games, go horseback riding or ride their bikes and explore the nature. Also, they can taste the traditional yummy sweets and desserts, some of which are made with natural yogurt and organic jam.
In the evenings, everyone will have fun in the traditional Greek celebrations and festivities with Greek folk music and dancing.
Organized by the Mount Athos Area Organisation in co-operation with the Greek-Italian Chamber of Thessaloniki and the Arnea Association of Professionals, Arnea KOUZINA Traditional 2014 promises 3 amazing days with lots of traditional, local flavours.
