General information

Argassi Village is a beautiful tourist resort located 5 km southeast of Zakynthos Town, built on the foothills of Skopos Mountain. This area is popular among tourists and attracts many visitors every year. Due to its proximity to the capital, the village has experienced a large tourist development, and the road passing through the village hosts a large number of hotels, taverns, bars and touristy shops.

A sandy beach extending for one kilometer is situated in Argassi. Visitors can try various water sports there. The Venetian Bridge of Argassi is conspicuous there, too. 

Many beautiful churches are scattered around the area, including the Monastery of Skopiotissa which offers visitors gorgeous views of the island. One can also visit the Aquaduct of Vryssakia in the village's vicinity.

    Unfortunately we have been very disappointed with the town of Argassi especially after coming from Mykonos. Argassi is very dirty and humid and the quality of food is very poor not fit for human consumption. We are here for 4 nights which is a shame as I need to get out of this place.
