General information

Located on the northwestern side of the island, the village of Anafonitria is built just above Navagio (Shipwreck) Beach. The village preserves its traditional architecture with charming old houses, whitewashed walls, and local stores selling agricultural and other products, especially honey, olive oil and traditional handwork.

Near the village lies the monastery of Anafonitria, built in the 15th century.
