Location: Argassi

The Venetian Bridge of Argassi in Zakynthos is built at the outfall of a river and is today ruined. It is located 10 meters from the seashore, in the small harbor of Argassi. Almost half of the bridge, which used to be part of the main road, is now resting on the shore while the other half is immersed in the sea. This is due to severe erosion from the seawater and the winds.

The bridge was originally constructed in 1885 and consists of three arches; the left and the right are 1.55 meters tall and have a 2.20-meter opening, while the central arch has a height of 1.80 meters and an opening of 3.50 meters.
