The Post-Byzantine Art Museum of Zakynthos (or just the Museum of Zakynthos) is located in Solomos Square, Zakynthos Town.
The museum is housed in an impressive two-level building that was founded in 1960. It was built in place of an older museum that was destroyed due to the earthquakes of 1953.

The museum's collection includes some of the most significant archeological findings in Zakynthos that belong to the Byzantine, Cretan, Ionian and Zakynthian school of arts. They date to various time periods, from the 12th to the 19th century.
In its rooms, you will discover Byzantine and post-Byzantine artifacts, including murals, paintings, icons, frescoes, ecclesiastical clothes, wooden altarpieces and other objects. You will also find a collection of photographs of the island before its destruction due to the earthquakes of 1953.

The museum is open all days of the week, except Monday and Sunday, from 08:30 to 15:30. The entrance fee is 4€.
