Zakynthos Caretta Caretta Exhibition Center

The Exhibition Center of Caretta Caretta in Zakynthos: This unique exhibition center is part of the Marine Park of Zakynthos. It was founded in 2006 for educational purposes, and its actions are continuously expanding. The creation of the Exhibition Center was partially funded by the European Union.
The aim of the Thematic Exhibition is to raise awareness by encouraging visitors of any age to contribute to the preservation of the natural habitat of the Caretta caretta (loggerhead sea turtle). The multimedia-based presentations of the center do not focus solely only on the sea turtles but also on many other wildlife species of flora and fauna of the island.
A wide variety of activities for children are regularly organized for education purposes and to help young visitors raise their environmental consciousness to protect the environment. Volunteer beach clean-ups for adults are also part of the program.
