Mathraki is an isolated island on the north of Corfu. It belongs to the Diapontia complex and provides the perfect place for total privacy and relaxation. There is not much to do for sightseeing in Mathraki, except hiking and swimming in secluded beaches. The only village in Mathraki is Chorio, while the port is called Plakes. A very beautiful and sandy beach in Mathraki is Portello, located close to the port, while the rest of the beaches are pebbled and remote.

Description: Plakes is the main port of Mathraki. It is not actually a village but a small settlement. A tavern and few houses surround the port.

Description: Portello amazes visitors with its large size, the crystal water and the sandy beach. Actually, this is the only sandy beach in Mathraki. It can be reached through an asphaulted road or on foot from Plakes.

Description: Arvanitiko is a rocky coast that can be easily reached by boat or on foot from Chorio. The clean water, the wild landscape and the calm ambience attract a few visitors.

Description: Kontrakas is a small rocky cove with crystal water. Surrounded by much greenery, Kontrakas can be reached on foot or through an asphaulted road.
