Watersports Festival in Vasiliki beach

On the island of Lefkada, Apollonion Municipality, Vasiliki Beach is organized for the second year the International WATERSWEETS OCEAN FESTIVAL from 27 June to the 2nd of July 2008. The festival is organized in cooperation with the Czech Federation, the Lefkada Prefecture, the Nautical Group of Lefkada and the companies watersweets and wildwind.
The windsurfing categories are four: slalom, freestyle and children's slalom and freestyle. The children's freestyle constitutes, as last year, the preliminary match for the finals of the Caribbean World Championship.
Two days will also be dedicated to sailing that includes five open regattas on the categories Laser 1, Laser Radial and Laser 4.7, an open yacht Regatta, and the big-distance catamaran regatta, for which the participation of the Olympic team catamaran tornado –Iordanis Paschalidis and Kostas Trigonis- is insured.
Unique shows and presentations are also organized for athletes and visitors, such as BMX with the best Czech and Greek riders (DARK RIDERS), MINI BIKES and even more.
