Nice During Flea Market

Category: Kythira Potamos

As most of the villages, Potamos is small, with not many strolling routes.
It is best to visit it during Sunday, when there is "flea market" at the main square, and buy some nice traditional food - figs, oil, traditional bread and so on.

Some Life in It

Category: Kythira Livadi

Livadi is not a colourful coastal village, but a typical mainland settlement. Not much to see, but it has some life during night and you can enjoy in several cafes and restaurants.

Category: Kythira Agia Pelagia

Kythira can be pretty empty and vacant during September, and Agia Pelagia is one of the places that have some life in it. There are a lot of restaurants and cafes, so I would recommend spending your chilling time here.

Category: Kythira Avlemonas

Avlemonas is a very small village, with no more that 80 permanent residents. It takes 15 minutes to walk around it, but I found it perfect for staying there and having it as a starting point - two long nice beaches next to it, proximity of other great beaches, nice coast, vie, lighthouse, nice sunset, moonlight, close to Diakofti, nice food and last, but not least, extremely quiet and silent! If you want such place as your starting point, Avlemonas is for you.

Classic Old Town

Category: Kythira Chora

Chora is visually the most live part of Kythira. It is your typical old town, with live colours, narrow streets and souvenir shops.
It's most famous and distinguished part is certainly the castle, which alone makes Kythira a desirable island to visit.
It is close to Kapsali, so you can always combine these two for walking, shopping, eating and historical insight.

Category: Kythira Mylopotamos

Mylopotomas is famous for its (nearby) waterfalls, watermills and cave.

Very special, dreamy, original and cute. Worth a walk and a nice coffee/lunch afternoon.

Sadly, last winter was not rainy, so there were no waterfalls, but despite of that - wonderful!!!! Wonderful experience, trust me! Walk the complete path, all the way through the woods and you won't regret it. Nature, greenery, remnants of watermills, bridges, puddles of water. Dreamy and worth taking a walk!
